The UA period adds an extended instructional period to the school day by where students are grouped based on standardized data, district assessments, common formative assessments, and classroom performance. All students are grouped by academic target areas for UA classes. UA classes are designed to meet the unique academic needs of students by offering multiple levels of differentiated flexible classes. UA class changes may occur throughout the year as student levels of performance are realigned with the UA class that provides the best support.

The purpose of this elective is for student to learn about the art of filmmaking. They will be learning how to create storyboards, learn about different types of films, and about several applicable film techniques.

Our school provides all students with the supplies they need for instruction; however, if you would like your child to have their own supplies instead of sharing items with a group or you would like to donate to the teacher, you may consider buying the following:

• Colored pencils

• Blue, black, and red pens

• Fine tip Sharpies

• Highlighters: yellow, blue, green, orange, pink and purple

• Loose leaf paper - college rule - 8 1/2 x 11"

• Stick on tab dividers (notebook organization)

• Three Ring Binder - to organize resources

• 150 (3x5) index cards for Greek & Latin roots

• Small, self-contained pencil sharpener

• Dry erase markers & eraser

• Headphones or earbuds for Chromebook

• Sheet Protectors
