Hello Band Families!

My name is Ms. Carly Miller & I am your student's band teacher at Day Creek Intermediate, Golden Elementary, & Lightfoot Elementary!

This is my 3rd year in ESD & I will continue making the lives of students better with music, along with creating a safe space for all band students to thrive through musicality & creativity!

My Musical Journey: I began band in 5th grade & continued all throughout middle school, high school, & college. My main instruments are Bassoon & Percussion.

I have my Associates of Music Degree from Riverside City College & my Bachelor of Arts in Music Education Degree from California State University, Fullerton.

I am currently working towards my Masters of Music Education from Adams State University.

I have performed in numerous concert & marching band groups including Southland Wind Symphony, Pomona Concert Band, CSUF Wind Symphony, RCC Marching Tigers, Vessel Indoor Percussion, & The Academy Drum & Bugle Corps.

Communication: I respond to messages/emails Monday-Friday from 7am-4pm.

Golden Elementary Schedule:

Mondays & Wednesdays:

9:20am - Clarinets (Monday), Saxophones (Wednesday)

9:50am - Flutes (Monday), Trumpets (Wednesday)

10:20am- Percussion (Mondays in January - End of School Year), Trombones (Wednesday)

Fridays (January - End of School Year): Full Band - 9:20am

Lightfoot Elementary Schedule:

Tuesdays & Thursdays:

9:30am - Clarinets (Tuesday), Trumpets (Thursday)

10am - Flutes (Tuesday), Saxophones (Thursday)
