Hello! Welcome to 6th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies!

In this classroom, my goal is that we will learn with and from one another while cultivating genuine relationships. We will support one another in the learning process and grow with one another throughout the year as we push ourselves to excel academically. We will work towards excellence in everything we do and seek to put others first in all we do.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to contact me at amber_clark@etiwanda.org

Accelerating Reading Information

Reading will be a part of a student's ELA grade. Bring your AR book to class.

Books need to be read at a student's level. Currently, use the level from 5th grade. Students will be provided time to visit the Day Creek library monthly to check out a book in their reading level. They can also explore eBooks and audio books and/or go to a local library (Victoria Gardens).

The requirements for a student's AR will be discussed with students in class.

Universal Access

Our primary focus will be to reinforce what is being taught in Language Arts.

This will be accomplished by reading, discussing, and exploring appropriate literature to build on students' overall understanding and their ability to analyze texts.
